California burns, again.

I took this today, The fires are not near me, but my air is dirty and my sky is black.

This last week has seen my wonderful home state burning yet again. What can you expect from a place that is really desert, Not a lot of water here folks, sorry...

So at last count some news woman was saying that things were going to be fine!

Yes lets put a nice spin on it; 14 of 23 fires still burning!!!

Soon we can expect people to have their hands out to the government looking for hand outs to help them rebuild, again!

Look, It's not that I am a dick or something, but COME ON, these people build homes on hills and let the brush grow up to their property line, They build houses close to forest, DESERT FOREST, and wonder why they get burned out every decade or two. I just think that federal aid to people who can afford to live in the canyons and hills is a lot like giving federal aid to the residents or Bel Air if they had a disaster! They have the money to live in these exclusive areas, they know the risks, why should people who can not live that lifestyle help bailout those who can, but do not have the sense to stay away from a fire zone?

And to the arsonist assholes who set the fires; I hope you get butt raped in prison!

First wave.

Got my box of parts in the other day.
Full of goodness, a set of 1930'S repro Harley grips, soft and too cool. The only sticking point is the seam down the side, but I can take care of it with a razor blade.
Had to get this adjustable brake lever, Note the 5 position adjuster wheel. These are no big deal on sport bikes, but for a Bonneville it's a nice hop up.
And cant have a cool cafe-bobber without a short fender! I was going to cut down the stock fender, and I may still do that, but for now I am going with the lazy way out.

Bonneville to be...

Today I ordered up the first of many goodies for my Triumph. I know I have posted about it before but hey, its my blog.
So I have a short fender, and new grips on the way.

The plan is to make it something of a cross between a bobber and race bike. the best bits of both the bikes above.

Hello again.

So, it's been a week now that my boy has been in school.

I am the proud papa of a little lover boy!

Anyway, went to the storage today and got my tripod out so I will have a flood of pictures coming soon.

Checked out the pictures of the Honda CB 900 that my father has in Sweden, the bike looks a bit rough, but I am just waiting to see what he does with it. Should be good!

My baby.

Today my baby is a little man!
Today is Fritzies first day of pre-school.
He was all happy, I was kinda sad.
As cool as it is that he is growing and learning, He's not going to be my little baby boy for much longer.
